Africa Investigates – Behind the scenes

10th October 2018 Media

In July 2014, a select group of journalists from across Africa gathered in Kenya for a confidential workshop to plan a second run of Al Jazeera’s award winning Africa Investigates series. Over an intense fortnight they refined some of the stories and ideas that would make eventually make it to air in late 2014 and learned some of the hidden camera, secret filming and safety skills they would use on location. This short behind-the-scenes film gives a fascinating insight into the hard work and effort that went into producing the series, which gives African journalists the means and opportunity to expose wrong doing across the continent in their own way and in their own voices.
